The number one Pinterest tip I can give you is to be true to your brand in your Pinnable images. Create a certain recognizable style. Always use the same font, logo or watermark, and other elements when you add an image to a blog post. Over time people will start to recognize you for your pictures on Pinterest. Those pictures give them an incentive to take a look on your blog to see if you’ve updated lately. That means more traffic for you, all by simply being true to your brand.

Include calls to action in the description. Pinterest doesn’t allow you to use direct calls to action (CTAs) in the promoted pin description, but that doesn’t mean your campaign should lack one. The targeted user needs to know what he is expected to do after seeing the pin. However, it is important to remain contextual and not sound too "salesy." Subtle CTAs such as "Sign up today for a free trial," or "Download this free guide," are things that users will still engage with.

Similar to other social networks, Pinterest contains a plethora of images and videos. Not only do you want to ensure you’re posting images and videos that will help you promote your brand and market your products/ services, but you’ll also want to ensure they stand out against all of the others on the platform. When users click within this feed they’ll find more shoppable Pins related to their original search. Make sure your ads show up here by using high-quality images that appeal to your audience — first, understand what product features they’re searching for and use images that showcase these details — and incorporate keywords your audience searches for.
A great post! This is Misato from https://fitwirr.com/. When I initially started, I grew my followers the very similar ways as yours – group boards, long images, Tailwind, etc.. One thing I really appreciated Tailwind was they give you stats on each boards’ ROI. The boards with most followers, activities, etc.. were all there, and it helped me narrow my focus and really understand what people are interested in and wanted to see more of.
It is super important, but at the same time super hard, to think ahead of the current time. 3 years ago, I told everyone to treat Pinterest as a search engine, 2 years ago I reminded people to think mobile first. Some people listened, and others are now facing the issue of having long format pins getting penalized, with bad descriptions not appearing in searches anymore.
Specific, measurable, achievable, relevant and time-limited. What do you want to achieve and when do you want to achieve it by. Do you want to increase your followers to 100 by the end of the quarter; or do you want a Pinterest ad to generate at least five bathroom tile sales by the end of the month? Being specific gives you a goal to aim for, it focuses your Pinterest marketing tools, and it helps you to monitor (and learn from) your successes.

A pin code is similar to a QR code, but it’s around a picture and looks much prettier – and it works directly with Pinterest. We all have pin codes linked to our profile and each of our boards.  If you tell your followers to follow you on Pinterest and they scan your pin code with their phone by opening Pinterest and using the camera feature, it will show your Pinterest profile.  Or if you share a pin code for a specific board it will show them that specific board. You can have someone follow your profile or your board by scanning an image.
